    NOTES:

  • Sydney Pollack, David Geffen and Ken Sylk appear on "Putting It Together" as the "executive chorus."
  • "I Have Dreamed/We Kiss In A Shadow/Something Wonderful" originally included a dance version of "Shall We Dance/Hello Young Lovers" but was dropped as Barbra felt they were too Disco for this album.
  • "Adelaide's Lament" has only been released on the Compact Disc version of this album.
  • Barbra tried three different arrangements for "Can't Help Lovin' That Man" before finding the Ava Gardner version from the 1951 film version. One of the arrangements was a very brassy, big band style arrangement. The final arrangement was the one that just "felt right."
  • Stevie Wonder plays harmonica on "Can't Help Lovin' That Man."
  • "Somewhere" was released on a 7" single in edited form (4:32).
  • Two singles were released from the album, "Somewhere" and "Send In The Clowns."
  • A music video was released for "Somwhere." William Friedken directed the video. This is Barbra's only music video to be commecrially released. It is on the video cassette "Putting It Together: The Making of The Broadway Album."
  • Unreleased tracks from this album include "Shall We Dance/Hello Young Lovers," "Home," "Being Good Isn't Good Enough," "An Unusual Way," "I Know Him So Well," and "Show Me." "I Know Him So Well" was later released on "Just for the Record..." in 1991.
  • The album reached Number 1 on the Billboard Music Charts in November of 1985.
